This course is aimed at all front line practitioners and managers working with children and young people.

Course Duration: One and a half hours
Course Aim: To increase professionals' confidence in consistently identifying potentially harmful sexual behaviour in children and young people and understanding levels of concern in respect of this.
Learning Outcomes - By the end of this course participants will be able to:
- Begin to understand a ‘common language’ and terminology around Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) in children and young people
- Understand some of the challenges that may occur when identifying HSB
- Understand the difference between HSB and normal sexual development in children and young people and begin to think about the context in which HSB may arise
- Understand how to use Hackett’s continuum to identify potential levels of concern about HSB
