Event Skills in working with children and young people displaying Technology Assisted Harmful Sexual Behaviour Training (>)
 

The Technology Assisted Training has been updated with new and extended content.

This is a half day course for professionals who may be required as part of their role to make an assessment of or deliver an intervention to a child or young person with harmful sexual behaviour where that young person has experienced childhood trauma(s).  Participants on this course must have attended the 90 minutes workshop, ‘Identifying Harmful Sexual Behaviour in Children and Young people’.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what technology assisted Harmful Sexual Behaviour is (T-A HSB) e.g. use of pornography, sexting and up skirting.
  • Understand how and why CYP can use technology to facilitate harmful sexual behaviour
  • Understand the skills and techniques to use when having conversations with children and young people and their parents/carers about T-A HSB
  • Know more about how to support children and young people to use technology in a safe and appropriate way to support their sexual development
