Event Intra-familial Harmful Sexual Behaviour Training (>)
 

This is a half day course for professionals who may be required as part of their role to make an assessment of or deliver an intervention to a child or young person with harmful sexual behaviour where that young person has experienced childhood trauma(s).  Participants on this course must have attended the 90 minutes workshop, ‘Identifying Harmful Sexual Behaviour in Children and Young people’.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand what intra-familial harmful sexual behaviour is and be able to recognise some of the predictors of it
  • Recognise the difficulties of making an assessment of intra-familial harmful sexual behaviour and explore some techniques for overcoming these
  • Understand how to make assessments of risk in cases of intra-familial harmful sexual behaviour
  • Begin to explore how to support children, young people and families to address the harmful sexual behaviours and repair family functioning
